Hi Amanda,
Thanks so much for all the information! This is my first 1/2 and my inspiration to start running so I'm super excited! I had a question that I cant seem to find the answer to...after the race are you able to stay in the park or go change, eat, etc and come back or do you have to purchase tickets to go to the park on race day? (I'm sure I'll come up with more questions along the way, but you answered a bunch through your posts, I feel better prepared already!)
Thanks again,
Tara
Hi Tara-
You will need to purchase tickets to get into the parks after the race. In past years I believe they offered discounted tickets. Also there may be special discounts if your are staying at one of the resorts on tickets. Hope this helps. And I am really glad to hear that my posts have helped you. I remember how overwhelmed I felt my first year so I wanted to share as much as I could with future Princesses. Happy Training,
Amanda :)
Hey, Tara!
My sister and I just started talking tonight about training for the Princess Half-Marathon this February. I'd definitely need a lot of training. I was cheering tonight that my sister pushed me to do a whole mile with only one stop! But I think it would be so fun and a great challenge. Thanks for your really detailed post. This really helps! :)
Katherine
Amanda-
This is my fist marathon and my twin sister is doing with me. Is the race course really hilly? Any training tips for us new runners. we have been running since March of this year. And we are excited! Do we have to bring cameras or do they take them? Good Luck to you. Maybe we will see you there.
AManda
Hello Amanda-
There are some hills on the course that you should be prepared for. They are not super intense if you have done a hilly course before but they will be a challenge none the less.
There are photographers around the course that will be taking pictures but I advise you also bring your own camera because not all the pictures they have taken will show up on ASI after the race.
I hope to see you there too. Happy training!
Amanda

Hi! I am so excited I found your website. I started training this week for this race, my first race ever! I am really looking forward to it.
Question 1: what do you wish you knew BEFORE you ran this race the first time?
Question 2: what the heck do you do with your camera while you are running?
Thanks!
Stacey
Hi Stacey-
Great questions! I answered them in this post...

Hi Amanda!
Just happened to stumble upon your post! I just finished the Tinkerbell Half Marathon in California this past weekend and would love to do the Princess half marathon next month!
Only problem is, I won't be able to attend the expo to pick up my bib/registration packet since I'll be flying in that Saturday evening to Jacksonville. Is there anyone that would be able to help me out in picking up my bib/registration packet if I provide the auth & waiver form and ID? I would really appreaciate anyone's help as I an inspired to get the coast-to-coast medal!
