Peace River has two nature trails in the resort. One, the favorite of all that stay at Peace River, treks along the river itself where many find shark teeth and great photo opportunities of alligators and hawks. But there is another trail that is not traveled as often and that trail runs on the opposite end of the park (less than a half mile long) and at the end is an “orange grove.” Beware though the oranges you find in this grove are bitter oranges and will not be the best for eating or making orange juice. But if you feel like a little orange chicken grab a couple. Oh one little tip bring a long walking stick with you, many of the oranges are up high and unless you feel like climbing a tree you will want a little assistance.
The oranges pictured above were found at the Thousand Trails Peace River Resort in Wachula Florida. Peace River is also a Naco park. For information on Thousand Trails membership check out our Thousand Trails information post.
