Photohunters: Wild

Southern Toad (7)

frog3

Since we moved to Florida in late May 2008 from Colorado I have seen things in the wild that I had never seen in person before. The toad and the frog above are regulars around our household. In the mornings instead of hearing the birds singing I often hear the frogs. It is really pretty neat.

Frogs are one of those things that look cute ... until you get close enough to touch them and then I'm all squealing and freaking out - I'm such a GIRL. *grin*

Lovely pics! The colours in the first frog are quite amazing!

Beautiful shots, but if I'm perfectly honest, I prefer to keep them in pictures and not the real, live things.

I LOVE frogs! I as well have seen tons of frogs and lizards since I moved to Florida in February. Right now there are tons of baby ones hopping around, so hard to see them sometimes they are so small. Great pictures :)

Great close-ups! We have lots of Leopard frogs around here in PA. I just took a good one this week (check out my blog). Down in Florida I remember seeing the lizards running around outside as we ate dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Great captures! Especially the frog. We have hundreds if not thousands of frogs around the pond, but this year it seems we have predominantly small frogs plus a few toads.

Good choices for the theme.

Love the reflection on the second one!

When we lived in the east bay of SF, we had tree frogs. They would keep me up night!

Thanks for visiting my hunt. Happy weekend!
