Stockings and Potholders

after stocking Here is Maverick's Christmas stocking! It is made from Red Heart TLC Amore Red and White. It is all one piece sewn up on the sides. Below is a picture of the before sewing piece. I think it is cute but I would have liked the toe to come out better. Maverick likes it (at least the way it smells). before stocking Also made this potholder today for the turkey pan. It is a 15 inch square made out of scrap chunky usa yarn. (It is two 15 inch sqaures crocheted together). It worked out great. potholder Hope everyone is having a happy turkey day!

All but the ends...

Pillowghan ... Click the blanket to see more pillowghan photos Here is my pillowghan all done except the ends woven in! It came out so nice, but all the ends to take care of! pillow form Click the pillow to see more pillowghan photos Here it is as a pillow. It can not really stand up as a pillow by itself but it folds nicely. What I will do differently the next time I make a pillowghan is... 1. Make my squares a little more square (This is mainly because of my lack of crochet experience). 2. Weave the ends in as I go!

Square Saturday...

Square 22 Click the square to see the others 24 squares!!! Only four more squares and I should have those done today! After I finish all the squares I will start to weave in the ends (lots and lots of ends) and then began crocheting them together. I have never put together squares into a blanket before so this is a little adventure. I will definately have this blanket done this week and then I will start my cold weather knits (mittens, gloves, Potter scarf, hats, and WTW blankets. Expect to see pictures soon of my pillowghan! PS...For those of you who have wondered where the comments have gone... I have gotten too many spam comments on posts not just recent but from last year so I disabled them and I will put up one of those little chat boards in the sidebar until then you can email me please be sure to put something in the subject line so I do not think you are spam, for instance if you want to tell me something about my pillowghan squares type the subject line: 24 pillowghan squares or something to that effect. Sorry about the comments I really love getting them but I could not stand having to delete so many spam comments every week.
