Psst a new poll is up...

Here are last weeks results... Amanda Things What would you like to know most about me? What I do for a living 2 votes 7% How I met my husband 2 votes 7% Why I started knitting 8 votes 30% What I like to collect 1 votes 4 % Why ttbookjunkie 13 votes 48% BIG WINNER! Why I love the mountains 1 vote 4 % Total Voters 27 Okay so the bloggers have spoken and they want to know WHY TTBOOKJUNKIE. Here is goes... I have always loved books, always! I probably have about 300 books right now and that is a little bit because I recently sold back books to Barnes and Noble and gave some away to my local public library. Even though I have so many books and I probably have only read 150 of those estimated 300 I still will not pass up a book at a good deal (yes I am still cheap) or from any genre, therefore I deemed myself a book junkie. The TT part is probably the most confusing. As some of you may know my husband and I are big travelers. Out of the five years and some change we have been together I estimate close to three of those years has been spent on some road trip around the US. For a year we lived in a system called Thousand Trails. Which is a paid membership only campground system that had 57 resort all over the US. Great places with clubhouses, pools, golf courses all inside the very large resorts. We are out of that system now and back in CO at our mountain property. I choose the TT because when I first started joining forums and blogging we still lived in the system. I have thought about changing it but it truly has become a second name. So there you have it, the story behind ttbookjunkie.

Now you can see why I dream of summer...

Image hosted by Maverick is a medium sized dog so as you can imagine we have a little bit of snow, not too much just 3 feet! Okay so Maverick is only two feet tall so where he is at is about a foot and a half, but there are places on the property that have three feet drifts or more. There go my boys to clean off the dish so we can have internet and TV, what great boys!!

Image hosted by Here is the straw after froggin...(this is just one hat) Image hosted by I hope to have this KAL project done by the end of the week.

Thursday should be named YESday!

First off today at 9,500 ft it was 55 degrees, folks I think Spring has truly arrived for us mountains folks, so they say we are due for snow all weekend, today it is a nice Spring day. I am thinking it is time to make tank tops, is there a tank top along??? If not we so need one, summer is just around the corner. In the grand ole tradition of Spring I have decided to begin a Spring Cleaning Project. I found tons of stuff I forgot I had, for instance this... Image hosted by I do not know exactly when I got this bag but it is so perfect for a yarn bag. Inside it has a deep zipper pocket that is perfect for putting needles and other little supplies in, and the rest of it is one large pocket! Then while on my ususual blog surf I found this Colorado Knit In, this would be cool. I also found this Stripey Fun this would be an awesome project for a tank along! I am trying my hand at it for Georgia, here is what I have so far... Image hosted by As for our poll action it seem to be 100% clear that people like polls (8 votes for yes!) so check for a new poll next week. Well that is all for now folks, blog ya later...

Softcore yarn porn....

Here I go flashing my stash... Image hosted by

It is really not that much, but for me it is actually a lot of stash. I do not get to the city but once a month to stock up so I usually get down little balls of yarn by the time I make my way back to the city.

Happy flash day!

Monkey Business...

My monkey is coming along nicely. I am working on the head this weekend which is by far the hardest part of this little guy for me. I am not sure what to name him/her yet I will have to see his/her face when it is done. Image hosted by

Have you ever wondered what to do with those little leftover pieces of yarn that are too short to knit with but too long to want to throw away...

Image hosted by Stuffing, the cheap way.

Happy knitting!
